I heard how a deep concern that much of evangelical Christianity was losing its focus on Jesus, and had forgotten the things that Jesus was deeply concerned about- like the poor and marginalized in our society, as well as the toxic nationalism that has crept into our faith institutions. Hearing this, I instantly thought this is not just something that this town in Virginia needs - but something we all need- around the world. So I contacted my friend Shane Claiborne with an idea to create a short documentary on his and the Red Letter Christians work at the Lynchburg Revival. In short, last week my long time collaborator and DP Joseph Von Meding and I got on a plane and filmed it...and now's the hardest part- creating the film.
